Fighting for Democracy with Standards not Force

Here are a couple of volunteer opportunities in the current fight for Democracy in the USA. Even if you don't have time for or interest in these particular efforts, just knowing that various actions are underway can create hope.

Standards Not Force, is an organization holding US Government Institutions and Major Brand US Corporations accountable to civic and community standards, using a disciplined civic framework designed to work without chaos, violence, or political theatrics.

Standards Not Force organizes ordinary citizens into structured teams that do three things: set clear standards, measure compliance, and apply coordinated, lawful pressure at scale.

Instead of protests that dissipate*, we run targeted campaigns—email, data tracking, and visible community presence—so institutions are forced to respond to defined expectations, not noise.

The objective is simple: restore accountability, protect communities, and enforce lawful behavior—by replacing disorder with structure, and force with standards."

*Keep protesting though!! kb

1. E-MAIL CAMPAIGN :

Standards Not Force is currently running an e-mail campaign aimed at holding corporations accountable by asking what their policies are on immigration, deportation and family separations. I won't lie, it's not glamorous work, a lot of copy paste and hitting send. But it's having some results.

For more information here are a few links, or ask me.

2. VIDEO CAMPAIGN :

Standards Not Force is involved in a separate action, headed by one of its members, to urge US representatives in Congress to support the War Powers Resolution. Article 1 Section 8 of the US Constitution gives Congress, not the President, the sole authority to declare war.
